How to Measure Your Wall
Whether you’re looking to cover a full wall or just a part of it, we are here to guide you every step of the way. Our detailed instructions will ensure you get the perfect measurements for your new mural, canvas or wall art print, making the process simple and stress-free.
Planning to Cover the Full Wall?
1. Prepare Your Tools:
- Gather a measuring tape, notepad, and pen/pencil. Having a helper can make the process easier, especially for larger walls.
2. Clear the Area:
- Remove any furniture or obstacles from the wall area you plan to measure. This ensures you can measure accurately and safely.
3. Measure the Width:
- Start at one end of the wall and extend the measuring tape to the other, keeping it level. For sloped walls, measure the widest point.
4.Measure the Height:
- Begin at the bottom of the wall (floor level) and extend the measuring tape to the top (ceiling level), keeping it straight and taut. For sloped walls, measure the highest point.
5.Check for Obstacles:
- Take note of any windows, doors, or other fixtures on the wall. Measure their dimensions and their positions relative to the edges of the wall. This information will be useful when planning your mural or canvas placement.
6. Record All Measurements:
- Write down all your measurements clearly on your notepad. Label them appropriately (width, height, any obstacles) for easy reference.
7.Consider Extra Space:
- If you plan to frame your mural or canvas, add an extra inch or two to your measurements to account for the frame.
8.Double-Check:
- Before finalizing, double-check all measurements and ensure you have all the details recorded accurately.
